Rot in Hell

by Bill Turner   Jan 23, 2009

Some say God does not hate
Others say God hates us all
I will always tempt fate
For I think God is small

Haunting me all my life
Hand of Satan guiding me
Driven by internal strife
Soul never to be free

Lord and savior...
Letting me die
Was it my behavior?
My refusal to cry

Bowing to no one
Refusing to blink
Not even for God and his son
Rot in hell is what I think

Here I am again
Closer to my dying breath
To hell with my sin
I embrace death

Nice. Short. Powerful. I liked that you had an ABAB rhyme scheme, which I rarely see anymore. One thing, though, in my opinion, I think the last line should read 'I embrace this death' as I just think it would flow just a little nicer, but even though, the piece does fine as it is. A good piece, in my opinion.
