Life Is Pain

by Twisted Heart   Feb 10, 2009

The stab...
though felt first in heart
pierced the soul
Bringing tears
Of lost memories
Laying stagnate in the mind.

The veil fell
As surely as a whisper
went lost in darkened night
Over eyes soft
cast true the sword of knowledge
into innocence's spirit

The cry...
shook over mountains
over streams
and into the essence of time
Growing louder
each wail a slap of pain

The body trembled
Wrenching from disease of lies
Spawned in love
In life
The aftermath of calmity
leading to the realization...

Life is pain

Life is truly pain. We must learn to grow from our pain and realize it is only a stepping stone to growing and learning. Though it doesn't make it hurt any less. This was definitely a beautiful write. I love reading your perception and views of things. I tend to see things from a different perspective. Enjoyed this poem immensely.
