Verses Of Rust

by ADEL   Mar 24, 2009

I draw my tears to the winter

squalls of weeping into gales

with feathers of ravens and thorns

to the legend of stories and tales

for I am the squirrel till the rains

creep their paws and tails

I draw my tears to the autumn

shades of melodies into bells

with tunes of grief and moans

to the throat of valleys and wells

for I am the wound till the rivers

bleed their veins and cells

I draw my tears to the death

graves of stars into stones

with cancer of snakes and worms

to the rattle of skulls and bones

for I am the hole till the heavens

dig their suns and moons

I draw my tears to the mountains

hills of poison into rust

with crumbs of rocks and grooves

to the ravines of fog and dust

for I am the cold till the clouds

mash their snows into crust

I draw my tears to the iris

herd of kingdoms into springs

with needles of thirst and hunger

to a forest of cursed wings

for I am the hedgehog till the queens

roll their jewels and rings

I draw my tears to the owls

suck of doom into light

with breasts of pain and gloom

to the hunt of day and night

for I am the dawn till the eves

lick their hollows and height
