Graceful Murmur

by ADEL   Dec 16, 2019

There are tombs with gloom traces
Of fear in the far sighted eyes
And graves of open spaces
And lands where mirage lies

The death I've learnt to master
In holes of fires and drought
Formed me in deep disaster
Away from glee or nearly out

And none still want a bearing
My treasure of empty throne
And none still want a sharing
An empire faded of my own

In my own world I do fade
A crippled life of honest lie
Cracked among sun and shade
Till I rot in grievous sigh

And yet if I should remember me
Merge with love and call us we
Hearts close their widened doors
Thought I having the sacred key

Therefore I shall keep my cage
Carved in the torsion of solitude
The sorrow ascends in rage
Yet seeking deprived gratitude

Because the poem has a beautiful rhythm and rhyme, it felt like a sad song that many of us could relate to.

I enjoyed reading this. Though to be complete honest, I need a couple of reads to have a glimpse of what the poem is about. I couldn’t help but get distracted with the smoothness and the rhymes this piece has. Nonetheless, that’s totally on me. Thank you for sharing.

First I appreciate your comment, second in my opinion, poem is a life, and the much we experience life the more we comprehend it. We as poets express our hidden dimension which is yet to live and experience, so the impact of reading any poem is different everytime. It's my pleasure you reread my poem. Wish you the best

Dear Aria, you and I nearly have the same taste of the joy of bitterness sculpted in words. I fully enjoyed it, hope you're living what you deserve.
