I'm Leaving

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 21, 2009

I'm sick of all your crying,
You just keep on pouting,
I can't stand to be with you,
Another minute longer.

I have to move on at some point,
You've honestly pained me that much,
My heart will never sew itself back up,
Why did I ever like you in the first place?

Right now I just want to break out,
To never have to face your lies again,
Not only did your cunning mind trick me,
But made me think I actually wanted you.

I must start moving away right now,
Deep down I am sorry it didn't work,
But this is what I need to do, my soul yearns,
For a new, fresh start at a life without you.

This is a very old poem of mine, I wrote this back in 2007. I am now just starting to collect my older works from when I first began writing, and posting them. I did altar and change some words/lines but just because my poems back then needed a lot of work. I hope you liked it!

Not bad at all for a 11 year old girl, if I am counting back correctly!

Very sad though...you wanting to make a fresh start.

But this is what I need to do, my soul yearns,
For a new, fresh start at a life without you

If you actually gave this to the person you wrote this for, I bet this made them cry.

    *hugs*
