A Buckeye Autumn

by Angie   Sep 29, 2009

A Buckeye Autumn

the sun shines during the day
kissing the cold night air away
highlighting the stain glassed colors
and enhancing the scents of change

leaves gently float to the ground
a kaleidoscope of orange, red, yellow and brown
spider webs woven within the trees
creating a dreamcatcher vision

groundhogs and squirrels scamper about
as butterflies dance in the breeze
birds are singing a sweet tune
and flowers are visited by bees

as the sun goes down and sleeps for the night
the moon comes out to play
a cricket lullaby can be heard
as stars twinkle in the night sky

the cold once again sweeps in
moisture dampens the earth
another autumn day is out on the horizon
in this fascinating buckeye state
