In Time

The darkness is overwhelming
folding me within
dragging me down
further and further
until hitting the bottom
HARD

Body limp, bones fractured
bruises, abrasions, aching head
PAIN

Tears stain cheeks
emotions in turmoil
as nightmares consume
recovery will come
IN TIME
