Far I've Been

by Larry Chamberlin   Feb 20, 2010

Ever far I've been 'round this world,
Hundreds of cities, thousands of trails;
I carry the same dream at night
And wake to the same challenge daily.

Dreams of you, vivid dreams of us,
Swirl my thoughts like painted gauzy rope;
Fill my nights with memories of times
We never had yet still I hope.

Days greet me with whatever path
Lies before me here and ev'ry day;
Keeps me focused on needs come next,
Drives me from missing you gone away.
