Finally

by lisa marie   Feb 26, 2010

Apathy has consumed our eyes
Nurturing blindness coats our words
But these calloused hands, defeated and tired
Must lead my perception through drunken masses
Consciousness is fleeting
As it always is
Reality is only what Ive seen before
We are woven together with insignificance
And over confidence
Awareness is silent
Yet vital to our core.
This blanket of optimism
Has fooled our youth
Only out of destruction,
Will beauty prevail.
