I thought a lot about,
A very great poem i read.
Though it's hard to believe
one single word it said...
Understand nobody's equal
And learn to accept.
Life's not about "better",
It's about who you protect..

We all live a different life
Waiting for what it'll bring.
No matter what anyone says
It wont a change a thing...
It's not about the reality,
Others create over time.
Live and you'll find love
Without it crossing your mind...

I know people will say
And insist they can "Relate".
I'm nobody to disagree,
I can never change fate...
It's amazing what people,
Are quickly ready to believe.
They're baffled by words
That they don't really see...

I could describe beauty
That's searched for all the time.
I could paint illusions
That play a trick on your mind...
I could tell you about love
And say that I'm living proof.
I could make up lies
Making it seem like the truth...

Some say It's a talent though,
I don't think I'll ever comprehend.
Do you think it'd still be special,
If every poem was just pretend...?
Everyone has their way with words,
I know that will never change.
Why don't you try and write
And see if you feel the same...

I read a poem a little bit ago and the artist had such a way with words. Though the whole poem seemed so true it just couldn't be. I had to write something in return (Venting). Oh well, Enjoy the read...!

    Cody, this is the same poem but with breaking it into verses reads different. Gives the reader time to pause and enjoy your words. Good job with the changes.

    It was a little hard to read as it was not written in stanzas.

    Also i would like to point out "Why don't you try an write and see if you feel the same..." an = and or to?

    Other than those, i enjoyed reading this piece of yours. I think the message you were trying to convey was well pointed out. Well done.

    I have to agree with you. I too find it hard to believe a lot of the words I read and those I hear. Some people have a way of charming others into believing everything. I like the format and if I were you, I would change the F word and then move this to the life catergory. (smiles) I think more people would read it and benefit from it. Well done.
