Saved by the love of another

by White Orchid   Jun 9, 2010

The face once drowning
in a pool of dark water
finally decides
to come up for air

Emerging from the water
gasping for air
waves make it harder
too much to bear

Struggling to hold on
with every breath she takes
finally reaching the top
entering a peaceful place

A blurred vision
suddenly is clear
she sees the boy
who wipes away her tears

The one she needed
to save her from pain
he says "I love You"
her fears fade away

Broken Pieces of her heart
He has pieced back together
The face that once was drowning
Saved by the love of another

Poem written about my Best Friend.

My other comment is lame, gosh. xD

Anyhow, this is a good example of how a true friend or a mate can really bring you up and make you better than you thought you could be. And while both are pretty hard to obtain, they are priceless and invaluable to have while fighting this world's influence. Empowering piece of writing there.
