Linger

by StarGirl   Nov 22, 2010

Raindrops are pouring outside my window
and the sun is shinning inside my heart.
The clock is ticking and I can't stop staring
and I think of you.

Snuggle down and bundle up
your like a warm and fuzzy sweater.
Pull it over my head and I've never felt better.
I'm warmed up from the inside out.

Let your voice just linger,
A moment more please
Let your voice just linger.
Baby you put my heart at ease.

But when morning comes, you'll be gone.
You'll have faded from my memory.
The rain has stopped but the grass is wet.
Baby you should have lingered.
