Treasured Lace

by Cinnamonspice   Sep 26, 2011

Like fine lace
friendships are woven
starting from a single thread
it's beginning
is looped
twisted
and braided into a
delicate pattern of
spaces .

Each design
is an original
morphing of personalities
some woven with
gold or
silver
threads
yet blending into
a lasting work
of art.

As the fabric changes
shape, so do the times
shared in friendship
tears
joy
hand holding secrets
engage an eternal treasure
crafted by love
kindness
and trust.

Moments
draped tightly
in memories
tenaciously
protected
against time
guarded by
tender hearts.

"To all my friends I love you"

Connie I like how you used lace as a metaphor, how as it's woven the friendship bond becomes tighter, this is so true. You've crafted a piece that was such a delightful to read and makes your friends feel treasured just to be your friend, and I'm glad and honoured to be your friend too:)
