Three In the Morning

by Maple Tree   Feb 10, 2012

I woke up one morning at three am.
Gazed In somber silence while you slept
Your eyelashes spoke another language
With a powerful and beautiful moon
And I was mesmerized, held In captivity
By my love for you and devotion to Mother Nature
Breathtaking thoughts danced as my insomnia cried
I took you by the hand, floating on a night owls wing
And we kissed under the sleepy stars, as one dream....

I really loved how the poem all came together at the very end:
I took you by the hand, floating on a night owls wing
And we kissed under the sleepy stars, as one dream....

A very good picture of a mid-night awakening with the most precious person laying by your side!!

It makes me think of when someone dreams, their eyes would move and you could tell that they are sleeping. I love this line!!!
