Subdued sigh

Silently and slowly dying;
I can`t seem to keep on trying;
Left alone in this endless pain;
All I do seems to be in vain.

Easily for You to ignore?
When all I did was adore.
Easily for you to break?
Only one who stood with you awake;
In those cold dark nights;
When You had closed Your sights.

I made you open up and smile;
So why do you treat me so vile?
I returned you happiness;
Bringing myself loneliness.

I expected You wouldn`t let it all be wasted;
But I guess my trust was misplaced;
Ironic how I saved your life;
Just to watch my own get slashed with knife.
