Hatching Eggs - acrostic

by Larry Chamberlin   Sep 1, 2012

"Happy Easter," she cried.
as she ran to open
the basket by her bed;
chocolates and caramels
heaped in the middle;
inscribed around were eggs
neatly painted in pastels
glowing in the morning light.

Eating up candy she was
gobbling down with grunts;
gruesome goblins burst from eggs
scaring that glutenous girl.
