Snow

by Abbie   Nov 16, 2012

When winter winds blow
hedges to and fro
and flapping crow
has gone to his home
long ago

Then I know
Snow
will quietly fall, grow
overnight higher than houses below
stop the stream in its flow
and so
in a few hours, show
itself mans ancient foe
Oh
how slow
is the silent gathering of snow.

I liked this part in particular:

    "Then I know

    will quietly fall, grow
    overnight higher than houses below
stop the stream in its flow"
