Bloody Tears

You yell that your fine,
with a tear in your eye.
You don't know why,
but you start to cry.

You cannot stop,
no matter how you try.
So you numb the pain,
with a simple sigh.

A letter to your folks you write,
and seal it with a kiss.
Then you lie on your bed,
a knife in your trembling fist.

The blood flows slowly,
from your shaking wrist.
As your last breath,
passes your lips.

You think of life,
and how it could have been.
You want to turn back,
because of things you haven't seen.

Its too late now,
and the room is getting dark.
So you roll on your side,
to hide your horrid mark.

You wonder when they'll find you,
as you slowly fade away.
When you close your eyes forever,
no longer able to face another day.
