I forget

by Valiantpenguin   Mar 1, 2013

I forget

The taste of your lips in the evening
When we're both so close sleep.
The smell of your skin in the morning
When you lean in to kiss me goodbye

The sound of your voice when you're laughing
While we wrestle and roll on the ground
The strength of your arms around me
When you hold me close to you

The days keep on passing so slowly
'Til the day I see you again
The nights as they pass get so lonely
'Til I sleep and dream of your face

Though I shall stand beside you
As you travel for love of the land
Don't forget that I'll be here waiting
'Til you return to me
