Nyx's Gift

I long for the touch of the moon,
Nyx's gift to me
For I beg to feel its caress and hear its croon
As I am illuminated by its beauty
The stars luminescent and twinkling in the sky
Giggling and calling my name so sweet
As I jump from the mountains so high
Though each time I am smothered by defeat,
I stay awake each night to grasp Nyx's gift to me
And feel her phantom kiss upon my cheek.
