Nature and You

by Daylight Lucidity   Mar 25, 2013

Hear a soul's whisper
floating through the trees
of life's never ending forest
secrets playing in the breeze.

Walking down the dirt road,
one full of cracks,
symbolizing life's imperfections
decorating your path.

Leaves falling down
rain promising in grey clouds
the sun playing with the sky
waiting for you to catch its eye.

A river talking somewhere near by
birds singing as they patrol the sky
life's winding and curving road
surprising you while you roam.

Beauty never seen before
though always traveled through
eyes now clear seeing the promise
of a future that starts with you.

Great job, I really liked reading this poem, it screamed out to me, I especially loved the first verse, it has so much to sooth the soul and rebuke any shame at being alive, I really liked reading it, and I love this poem, another great poem
