Where dreamers often walk

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 17, 2014

Where dreamers often walk
fake fantasies they stalk
where dreamers often walk
on sidewalks made of chalk
that crumble like dreams.
Fake fantasies they stalk
are mostly their own schemes
to possess life's pleasures
that are just out of reach,
nonetheless great treasures
with life's lessons to teach
to possess life's pleasures.
When the spirits shifted
where dreamers often walk,
there sadness is lifted
where dreamers often walk .

I really enjoy this piece, you penned something so simple and ordinary that dreamers and believers or really any audience members are allowed to produce their own details while reading this piece, and there is something so soothing about this piece that I found it amazing. The title grabbed me and threw me into the piece, line by line a beautiful scene unfolded. Excellent write
