What is love?

How do you know........the moment is here
Is it the longing, yearning....or the anger when torn apart
a minute alone a lifetime wasted, does hearing her name excite you
sharing a moment, knowing it was golden, or crying in her arms feeling sad
dare you imagine a life without her, soldiering on as a distraught singleton
Is it those moments during daydreams when you forget her face, her smile
Or the times you cannot sleep, because you haven't shared a laugh today
I have felt hunger from the bottom of my stomach that eats from inside
Her voice sounds like a ballad of hope, her touch shudders your soul
Concentration long since departed, left you to lingering thoughts
Only her image her aura, being have found a place in your mind
Your beating heart races wildly when she calls your name,
world around slows down when she kisses your lips
nothing in life matters, she says she loves you
you wonder, could she really be the one
is this what love is, could be
desire, hope, belief
I should know
It found me
In you
And
Us

    It has been long since I read such a lovelike poem. The whole feeling that brings to life butterflies in your stomach not sure if the world is crumbling under your feet or the universe is bending to your will. Such is what makes it worth called love.

    I Am also glad you put this one back up. I get the sense that this is for your wife (or love) but the way you worded it is unique. The first line is very captivating. With love you never really know but your heart does. I think what you are saying through out is that everything she does or you do affects your everyday life. My personal favorite line is the about not being able to sleep because its very true. If one thing does not happen thoughts always seem to race.

    Love is a very magical thing when it finds you. There are no errors that I saw. But I love how you kind of made it into a heart. Especially the second half. Very impressive. And another thing I saw was that toward the end it got more romantic in stature. Very clever whether it was intentional or not :). Another thing is from the start you question whether she is the one. But over time you know more and more. Just like in the poem. Well done!
