Stir Of Echoes

by Meme   Dec 19, 2014

Nights fall, but I stay
awakened by lullabies
of our yesterdays.

Eyes close, but I stay
entwined with every
breath you take.

Fires fade, but I stay
encapsulated within
your burning desires.

Silence creeps, but I stay
-anticipating- for any
word you might say.

As long as it lives, I stay..
.
.
.
Unless..?

Love dies, and I leave
letting go of the broken
promises we now grieve.

Why do I keep missing you poems? I don't generally comment unless the author is signed in and...I haven't seen you on at the same time as me for AGES!!!

Your poetry always intrigues me because...generally, it's short and to the point although it still has this eloquence about it..this time I feel it was the repetition of...but I stay....I wanted to sigh each time I read that part.

    Silence creep, but I stay

I think it should be creeps in this line?

Another lovely piece from you Meme!!!
