Old Havana (Pensamientos de Abuela)

Between the commentary
(and sometimes over it)
she inserts her memories
in broken English, or
breaking Spanish, or
just a sigh and gesticulation,
thrust forward pointing
at the screen or sitting
back with a smile,
as much genuinely happy
as wistfully pensive,
but always agitated where
the reality contrasts with
her precious remembrances.
