Rise And Fall

by Baby Rainbow   Nov 27, 2015

This life was not my choice,
constantly rising and falling
from the trail of destruction left behind
from growing up way too fast.

I've never been so deep
inside a shadow that's pulling me back down,
when I'm barely holding on!

Darkness waits on my beating heart,
as I'm standing at the top,
crying from the roof top
because my life is lying on the floor,
and I don't know if I will survive.

This is deep. Depression is awful and it is hard to explain. We certainly have no control over it. I call it the "emotional rollercoaster". Ap and down, high and low.
It takes enormous strength and you are strong.

This line got me: "I've never been so deep inside a shadow that's pulling me down"...

wow, that is heavy. That's like the depression we never want or can even explain sometimes.

Powerful poem, especially about the growing up too fast and maybe not having a chance to let things be in calmness. There were only highs and lows.

That ending gives me chills... keep holding on.
