Dec 1 - Doodles of Art

by Everlasting   Dec 2, 2015

It's been a while since I wrote like I usually do
without paying attention to meter or rhymes
but rather, by just jotting my thoughts down
as if I were drawing
scribbling lines, dots, shapes, multiple
doodles that resemble snakes
that bite, coil, and rattle
as they slither through paper from pen

to then attack

as if the paper was the ground where I stood,
calmly gazing onto the sky of my imagination,
getting lost within the lines of thoughts,
as if the lines were the clouds moving, and moving,
just moving nothing else but me to write
a windy passage of time
to blow
and blow away
the doodles
of snakes
into
a piece
of art

I love this piece. Isn't that what are is all about?.Poetry does not necessarily have to rhyme and paintings don't always have to be well defined. To me it's all about emotions talking. When I am sad I do really good on my paintings. I love abstract and and it expresses more then words could say. Poetry can be short but the meaning behind it is what matters. We write, crumbs up the paper, poking dots and and start over again. The heart is truly talking.I enjoyed reading.excellent written. This is a great piece - and carries much of the sentiment of that poem you sent me by Charles Bukowski about just writing, and if it doesn't just come, then it's not worth doing.

It's been a while since I've read your work. I'm not even sure why that is, but I'm glad I stopped, but I'm glad I saw this one cause it truly blew me away.
