Weeds and the Flowers

by Michael D Nalley   Mar 2, 2016

There once was a fast weed
that had a special need
in love with a flower
who grew slow with power

The weed kept up its pace
lost cultivated grace
flowers in the garden
often receive pardon

The beauty of culture
refined by a mulcher
makes use of the decay
as the weeds rot away
