Nomadic Emotions

by Casey Dunaheagh   Apr 17, 2017

Swimming in pools
of my nomadic emotions
cobbling ideas
in my love drunk head
a painful delight
in the belly of the night
where secrets lurk
and taboos just might
whispers are like smoke
creating such brooding light
silent minds creeping
dreamscapes reaping
with cold air fright
Do you dare step out?
Out of the moons light?
silent hare stepping
each foot drop a dare
for who knows what lurks
just beyond there
the cacophony of
your goose-bump hairs
rising and falling
before your wide eyed stare
chest heavy and ready
for heaving or screaming
pouncing the cold air
with each warm breath
caught up in the artistry
that created you eyes
stepping forward
slanting my head
to have loves first kiss
with closed eyelids
with every wish I wished
now coming true
is it too soon to say
"I love you"
