Apocalyptic Love Letter

-----------TRANSMISSION RECEIVED--------------------------------------------

Hey Marlowe,

I am writing this to you
in case you ever feel like
You are the last person on earth.

Well, you very well could be.

They found us, and
I don't think that we'll be able to
Make it out of this one,
Like I always do.

They've blocked out our
Main means of escape from this
Infernal spacecraft.

I know it's been a while
Since I last spoke to you.

And well, I have to admit,
I'm not the type of person
To write this things out.

But I guess I'll give it a shot.

There's no real easy way to
say something to someone
when you know damn well that
you may never see each other again.

I think...
that's why goodbyes are
so hard on people.

"Goodbye" sounds awfully a lot like
"So long", which is akin to saying
"The End", which has a very
"Finished" tone to it.

"Goodbye" sounds so...

As if this is it.
That you and I will
Never get the chance to
Ever truly feel one another's atoms again.

But hey,
if there's one thing that
Life has taught me,
is that if we live happily,
we would never truly be alone.

Take comfort in the fact that
We have shared this time
13.7 billion years after the
Birth of the universe we live in.

That you found me,
And made me whole again,
After all these years of being
Nothing but pieces to an
Unsolved puzzle.

And hey, don't be sad
To know that this is most likely the
Last message you may
Get from me.

In this universe,
with all of those possibilities out there...

The emergency duct is working again!
Let's get outta here!

.....I'll see you soon.

I promise.

I will get out of this.

You'll see.

I have to go.

no "goodbyes".
Simply, "To be continued".

And, as always,
Keep looking up.

And I never really
got a chance to tell you this,
I lov-
