Writer's Block

by Alex Penuelas   Jan 20, 2019

Writer's Block sometimes feels like
you're stuck in the Sahara,
trying desperately to find
an oasis in the sands
to nourish your mind.

Other times it feels
like an incessant rain,
flooding your mind
with a shower of thoughts,
crippling you with a lack of clarity.

To me, Writer’s block is a block one refuses to walk with their thoughts. We can walk it or not. It’s a choice. This block can turn into a city, a country... etc

But I like the way you think about the writers block.

How very true. A lot of people find it difficult to just sit down and write because they are either not in the mood or right zone, or even because they are trying too hard. I guess its a bit like insomnia, the more you try and force it the more it doesn't happen. Milly x

From desert to rain, haha you reversed it beautifully.

In my opinion Writer block is a myth. Nothing blocks a writer, only he/she has nothing to say for the time being. The hives are empty, the bees need to go to the field and taste some flower to brim him/her over with honey again.
