on the other side of the world
I stand my post
I watch my country
my state
my home
go through so much pain
from politics
to hurricanes
even the girl down the road
I stand at the gates to protect
that which I love
I do all that I can
but in the end
I’m on the other side of the world

    This is so heavy to feel...you know you have done well but sometimes it's just so lonely. You have traded some personal joys in order to serve your country, I think that is truly commendable.
