Siren

by Sherry Caayupan   Oct 24, 2017

Across seas bear a soughing mermaid,
Of fallen wings and rich gold dusts,
She rests upon the blue lagoon to lay,
Where she sings and puts a sailor to a nap...
She is now a siren who used to be a vested angel,
Who fought for a sanctifying of great power,
Her lips so dainty to let linger,
A forbidden gift God gave eternally...
It's a doomed gift she can't withstand,
For every lover she bids kisses with parts from this world,
Violets and stargazers wept for the ones,
Who so ever gave her a love fallen...
Stars twinkle yet lost their luster,
For they see her constantly weeping,
They're lonely for every teardrop falls like forever,
The slit in her heart has deepened...
A sailor she saw one fateful night,
She kisses him three times,
A blessed miracle was now in sight,
How fortunate for he glowed alive...
His life made the world whole again,
As he painted her with strings and crimson,
He paved the love with gold dust like a siren,
Gave a love like a dying brethren...
It must be the lasting love that portruded,
A love stronger than any great power,
The calvary of this siren so gloriously ended,
When the sailor loved her as a lover...
Now, they eloped in a few more kisses,
For she found a love who now lives,
The moon shine in seeming crests,
What more than a life a lifetime she gave...
