Silence, Words and Freedom

by ashley   Jan 8, 2005

Silence is often better,
than any single word,
Feelings are best felt,
without being heard...
To be able to feel,
what the other wants to say,
Is an amazing power,
that works in a mysterious way...
To be able to look into your eyes,
and not say one thing,
But sense what you’re thinking,
is like floating on an invisible angel's wing...
To be able to hold your gaze,
for minutes so long,
Not paying attention,
to anything else going on...
To be able to know what's racing through your mind,
though you've not said anything about it to me,
Is the most awesome feeling,
better than anyone could ever believe...
Baby blue eyes,
that remind me of the skies,
Where the eagle is free,
and chooses himself when he flies...
You remind me of that freedom,
that I've not had in so long,
And when I'm with you,
I know that that feeling isn't wrong...
I want to fly through your blue eyes,
and venture into your heart and soul,
I want to know what you're thinking,
and what keeps your freedom in control...
I want to know what makes you tick,
like a clock as time passes by,
I want to be the answer to your questions,
that start with what, who and why...
I want to find your feelings,
through the silence in the air,
Until the silence is too strong,
for either of us to bear...
Then a few words,
could fill in the blank space,
For answers I couldn't find,
from the expression on your face...
You never know,
there might be something left,
to try and get out of the way,
And there might be no other solution,
than to say what your mind couldn't give away...
