Sweet Sixteen

I turn sixteen today
But no one seems to care
I look around and find
that none of my friends are there
I only wanted love
on one special day
But throughout my whole life
nothing has gone my way

I walk home alone,
to an empty house
where I've been left behind,
while every one is out
I look around and find,
no ones there for me
even on this special day
when i turn sweet sixteen.

*happy birthday to me* I wrote this on my birthday in spanish class...it was a terrible day. :( this is exactly what happened...

    Nice poem! im sorry that you didnt get the birthday you deserve. no one should be treated like that. but there are other birthdays to come, and you'll find someone to love you for you, and always be with you! keep your head up. happy belated birthday! take care.
