Sociopath

by Renee   Oct 9, 2005

"I swear, you're a sociopath, there's never emotion in your face"
Fu.ck emotion, it gets you nowhere in this place.
I hide it for all to see, please don't look
don't take my hand, just to turn it over and see a past that's no good.

"That girl is so weird." "where?" "right there in the back."
Shoot another stare and I -will- turn into a sociopath
I swear, the constant murmurs, they aren't hard to understand
I know just what your lips whisper behind your hands.

Your pathetic jokes don't deserve a sympathetic smile.
I'm not willing to be fake just to make your life worthwhile.
Renee, a sociopath?....maybe
small towns full of bit.ches would make anybody crazy.

Maybe -I'm- the normal one, the only sane person in this world
because I choose to look past childish drama and hair twirls
No, I could care less about my shoes matching my tie
maybe if you weren't so selfishly neurotic you'd discover the lies.

Wow Renee...that is awesome! I love it! I love how you really don't make it like a pity me for what they do. It's optimistic (TO ME) because you suggest it's not you but them that's what they whisper about so much. I like that....you never cease to amaze me...

This poem is so KICK ASS!!!! The flow is kind of off, but i feel that every word in every line is needed to capture what this piece is about. :O)

    These were my favorite stanzas:

""That girl is so weird." "where?" "right there in the back."
Shoot another stare and I -will- turn into a sociopath
I swear, the constant murmurs, they aren't hard to understand
I know just what your lips whisper behind your hands.

Aha, you remind me of myself, looking for a bad look just to have a reason to go full throttle attitude on them and teach them a lesson. It's difficult not to pay attention to what they say, but it's not hard to dismiss it...sometimes anyway.

This kicked my poems' asses all at once. Awesome work, Renee. :D
