I Had A Hangover, So This Seemed Like A Good Idea

Everyone’s talking about getting married these days
Giving me one more reason why I should wait
Everyone says they have found the one
As though that determines the struggle is done

Maybe I’m just unromantic
Maybe my head rules my heart
But money and debts enter into my mind
Of life and love

And my love and my life
Were by nature designed
To flourish alike, or perish together
So how can I be sure
Of a future secure
When our present says, “Never.”
