Diamonds and pearls

Diamonds and Pearls!

She cuts her writs with Diamonds,
Hangs herself with Pearls,
She can't stand to see them,
Softly crying behind the curls.

Waking up early to paint on
A smile, full of tears and lies, but
She can't hold on any longer,
To this facade she hides behind.

She cuts herself with Diamonds,
And hangs herself with pearls.
A slave to fashion, in this
Oh so very wretched world!

The saying goes diamonds are
A girls best friend, this is true
In this sad tale, but they served
Just one more purpose!

Cutting herself with Diamonds,
Hanging herself with pearls,
Dressing in the new trends,
Falling apart as she walks!

I love the way your poem is written, and the message is described. The first stanza was my favorite one, it's a good beggining for your poem. I also liked your word choice, it was very appropiate and poetic.

    Great job!

    Keep writing.
