The Evil in my Veins

by Bradley Peter   Nov 19, 2006

A train wreck inside of me
Whom can stop it now
A disaster destined to be
So unstoppable somehow

No hero from dark space
No savior of my soul
Dismay and dark embrace
Loses me my control

Evil swims inside my veins
Turning love to hate
Scrubbing at instant stains
I understand my fate

Swirling deep into the eye
Of the monster from within
I lay my head to die
And release all my sin

Reading it now - another poem I'd completely forgotten, but rather enjoyed - it could easily be understood as a mortal becoming a vampire. Thank you, Mel

Again nice flow. Your the simplicity of the words you use make the poem even more powerful. I liked that a few of the lines were monosyllabic too :).

I can understand it. I have been there. You almost took those words from my mouth they are the equivilent to what I am going through. Its nice to know someone else has been there too.
