Just Friends

You just hugged her goodbye,
it doesn't really mean much to you now,
now isn't the time it would your just friends,
friends, mates, buddies thats all she is to you,
you don't notice how she flirts with you
remember your just friends,
you don't notice she lights up when she sees you
and how she listens to your every word,
after all remember your just friends,

you don't mind when she starts talking about another,
you think she deserves to be in a happy relationship,
why wouldn't you
remember your just friends,

then things start clicking into place,
you start noticing the glint in her eye when she smiles,
when she squeezes when you hug like she never wants to let go,
and why she has the bounce in her step when she knows she'll be seeing you the whole day,

something hits you
why when you see her its now your heart that skips a beat,
is it because your friends
or yet because your falling in love,
why is it now you who doesn't wanna let her go when you hug goodbye,
why its you laying awake at night thinking of her,
and its there the realisation of love

you cant take it anymore,
the thought of wasting one more moment alone kills you,
that friend you have is driving you crazy with lust
you go to tell her,
but she has news as well
go first you say because you hope shes met up to say the same,

she speaks,
she tells you shes with that boy she spoke about,
your heart sinks,
she Carry's on talking but you cant hear her your lost
no one sentence has ever affected you so,
she was the perfect girl, she was your girl,

and you never knew it until now,
you couldn't see past the fact you was just friends
until that day when everything completely fell into place,
and you realized you loved her from the very beginning
