Unanswered Prayers

by Ren   Jan 20, 2007

Can you not see?
And realize,
These anguishing tears,
That spill from my eyes?

Are you so deaf?
As not to hear,
The children's crying,
Their wishes of not to be here?

If someone could reach me,
Would I be safe in their hold?
If I could escape,
Would I make it away?

If my nightmares,
Could fade to ash,
Would I see mommy again?
Will her sweet voice,
Be my lullaby?
Instead of raging curses,
Cries for help,
And the horrid bullets,
Ricocheting through the night?

To eat,
Would that be a sin?
If my weary body,
Could walk again?

Life's too short,
But I wonder this yet,
I'm living in the Holocaust,
We must never forget....

Deep and the message should be heard. Great job being a unheard voice.
