A History of Us

by Carisa   Jan 21, 2007

Do you know that I embrace the darkness?
The knife breaks the skin and I am smiling.
Did you know I would have walked the world with you?
Walked a million miles; my soul bleeding all the while.
I would have laughed a laugh to warm your cold heart.
But I didn't know who you are.

I wanted to protect you, so I held your cold heart in my hand.
But your heart turned into a black hole and swallowed me inside.
Now your face is the face of a monster I don't recognize.

So now I'm here looking in his eyes
Knowing he's just a part of my game.
Just something to take away the pain.
Cause I can't give him my heart when it is many miles away
In the uncaring hands of a boy with a monster's face.

Please don't use me to make yourself feel better.

  • You see the point i was trying to make, i was remolding you to succeed.. if i didn't, it would have been worse.
