Into the Sunshine

Here I am, to state my final sorrow to you.
Here I stand, because I realize we're forever through.
I realize I was holding on to old memorize,
I'd forgotten what I was before you and me.

I'm sorry for holding on, even when you said to stop,
I just felt so alone, but now I'm back on top.
So here I go, I'm off into the sunshine,
For I know someone out there is made to be mine.

I know I should've listened when you said to let you go,
But now I can see you're right, so now I know.
I must go through life, no more looking back.
For I know that life doesn't always give you slack.

I'm sorry for holding on, I'm sorry for the fights,
But now I can get through the lonely cold nights.
I am off into the sunshine, goodbye to the rain,
Off to see the smiles, so farewell to the pain.

Yes I know I was wrong, and I hope you understand,
I was just so lonely, my heart was in command.
Now I've gather myself, and I'm fine with being friends,
Though we are not for each other, I hope our friendship never ends.
