I'm Moving On, without you,
but it might be hard to do-
because of all the memories
and everything we went through.

I'm Moving On, without you,
because you left me all alone.
You had told me that you loved me,
but I guess I should've known.

I'm Moving On, without you;
no more pain my heart should endure.
I might've been hesitant,
but now, I'm oh so sure.

I'm Moving On, without you;
your love holds nothing now.
It did once, but now it's gone;
don't bother asking "How?"

I'm Moving On, without you-
no more tears upon my face.
It's over and done; I'm gone.
I don't need your warm embrace.

I'm Moving On, without you,
all your notes, I've thrown away.
I erased the mark on my calender
where it noted our special day.

I'm Moving On, without you,
and I guess that you are too.
I really wish that this was different-
I wanna be Moving On, with you

    Just a quick note. I read this in one of the contests and had to comment. This is wonderful. The flow was excellent and the message was strong. I was reading along thinking to myself how strong and secure you sounded. It was like you had finally gotten over the heartache and was pushing ahead.... then I read that last stanza, and I thought... How sad, but true. It's hard to recover from a broken heart.

    You did an exceptional job on this. Good stuff.
