Keepsake

The purple spots
the long neck
all these signs
of my dear friend

my only friend
the one who understands
whatever happens to me
my big ol buddy

he is my dragon
my kindest dragon
through his insides are stuffed
with a soft white fluff

he is a vegetarian
and he is named Bob
he can roar like a tornado
but he wouldnt hurt a fly

one day,
when I grow up
I hope my son will love him
love my dragon as much as I do
