Greatly written, very meaningful. I like the atmosphere in it, and the imagery is very vivid.
My favorite stanza is:
-Dear Lord, I pray to thee
Grant wisdom to those
out on our streets
allow them knowledge
to save many lives
show them hope
not one soul shall die-

It is a poem from the heart. Pieces and bits flowing easily into reality of words.
At the end, the last stanza, do you mean thee in stead of the.

Simply amazing. Reading this poem put so many pictures in my mind.. I am almost in tears now! Medics are there to save lives, and when they can't, it must be devastating. It's just such a touching poem that makes you think..Great job, 5/5

Great job! This actually is a very important poem and I am going to be sure to pass it along if you dont mind. I have a few friends who are firemedics and they work unthinkable amounts of hours right now due to the fires here in California. Im not talking like a 24 hour shift I am talking like a 12 hour shift, rolling into three 24 hour shifts, thats 84 freakin hours straight!!!! anywho, Great job, every life saved is a miracle, every life lost is a tragedy. As long as the two balance out, we are safe. :) 5/5

Awh, wow. This was very emotional for me. I have no idea why because it is in no way related to me but it pulled a heartstring and that is a sign of a truly great writer. The short lines added a great effect and made your words more powerful. I loved the subject and the poem has really touched me. The flow was good, the descriptions well done, and the emotion was very clear. 5/5, I'll nominate this for the weekly contest too.

I love this poem. It has great flow and great imagery, but even more its unique and original. I have never read a poem about this topic. I like it when people think outside of just poems about heartache or love and chose something totally original. Great work. Keep it up!
