Scorned, Torn, and Screwed

by The Pessimistic Peabody   Oct 20, 2007

A million white hot needles
Pierce my undead flesh
I laugh at all the pain
And so I past the test

Several demons surround me
Reading files from a shelf
"She has a love for wanton violence,
tantamount to Satan himself"

"Shes lacking in sympathy,
with little guilt, love or fear.
An outstanding recruit my friends,
for the war that is near"

"Get off the table now mortal,
your wings you've earned this day
remember to bow as our lord approaches
and linger not in his way"

The Devil himself came near
I quickly groveled at his feet
He transformed me in an instant
This demon shit is neat!

"Now arise" Satan ordered
"I have but one more quest,
Prove your worthy of your power
and rip apart this mortal's flesh"

Two of my brethren flew in,
dropped a mangled body to the ground
We laughed as she landed
at her tears and whimper sounds.

"Car crash victim, Do-gooder,
Was headed for the torture level
But I thought she'd make the perfect gift
Now kill her" shouted the devil

My beastly body tensed in excitement
ready to test out my deadly power
I snatched up her body in one claw
And held her past the edge of the tower

"Crying for your loved ones mortal?"
I inquired with a laugh
"I'll take your body on a tour of hell
but leave your head along the path"

I took her head in my other claw
then looked right into her eyes
Alas, it was my only friend from mortal days
What a horrible suprise

"I never said it would be easy,"
Said Satan as I stood still,
"But she is your only weakness
and to be strong you must kill"

A growl of uncertainty shook my throat
As many thoughts raced through my head
This betrayal shouldn't feel wrong
In reality shes already dead

My mind torn between memories of two worlds
I glance again at your gloomy face
With a pitiful moan I make my choice
Holding you close we leave this place

With laughter behind and loneliness ahead
We shall forever roam this void together
Between Heaven, Earth, and forsaken Hell,
Finding a place to call home never.

By the pocket fiend!

A completely surrounding and engrossing story, humourous in the oddest fashion, deep, sincere, positively dripping with grey areas and generally...very little not to love.
