Catatonic Love

by blindlover   Jun 11, 2014

It's hard to decipher love;
a catatonic wave
drowning what's left of my soul.

Trying to escape my own body
gasping for air,
my soul aching to be free.

I catch my breath;
I'm at ease
but this sensation, I've never
felt before.

I'm racing a million miles
a second -within.
physically, I'm at a loss for
motion -paralyzed.

Disengaged, powerless,
the "world" is closing in
on me.

The things I was once
familiar with
are obscure,
creating great distance
between

what was & what is.
