Genie in a bottle

by Michael D Nalley   Aug 25, 2014

Genie in a bottle, not one more binge,
A snort's no different than a syringe.
Please darkness don't make me take my belt off,
Tired of the strong that look at me and scoff.
Not understanding why I can't take the step
that will put an end to all my insane rep.
I thought I was the Genie in the bottle
Escaping pain in my plane at full throttle.

I like the way it flows and the fun fact that this poem is sad yet so hilarious in a way since it just rhymes and it's still beautiful but it has a sort of sarcastic answer but still sad in a way that makes you want to hug the genie at the same time chuckle at the way he/she explains their pain nice work 5/5
