The Original Wrapper:

by Scott Cole   Jul 5, 2015

It takes but a second
Not much notice at all,
When the time is right
The teardrops will fall.

The pressure builds up
It does till it hurts,
Then they all let go
And fall to the Earth.

Open up your eyes
Keep your head steady,
When it all feels right
You go when you're ready.

It rolls off your cheeks
And falls to the ground,
Your in all of the pain
I makes not a sound.

When the waterworks start
It's no stopping it now,
So fall teardrops fall
All your eyes will allow.

They come rushing down
Exploding on contact,
All neatly rolled up
And ready for combat.

For the pain is real
And the fight is too,
If you cry yourself out
Half the battle is through.

But the pain will fade
And go away over time,
Your teardrops dry up
And you will be fine.

Your eyes they cry
They cry from within,
The Original Wrapper
All teardrops come in.
